Michael Zandl

Michael Zandl is an Austrian circus artist who graduated from Codarts Circus Arts in Rotterdam in 2017. Since 2020, he has been associated with the Korzo Theater in The Hague as a resident artist. With the support of Korzo, Michael Zandl co-created the performance Sawdust Symphony, which has been touring internationally since 2021 and was voted one of the five best performances of 2022 by NRC in the Netherlands. Michael Zandl‘s artistic approach combines absurdity and abstraction, driven by a passion for unusual scenarios and subtle humor, elements he finds to be powerful tools for expressive storytelling. His latest project, FOOD, is his debut as a director.
