Jenna Jalonen, also known by her artist name triplejay, is a Finnish choreographer, performer, and arts producer whose work blends classical technique, contemporary partnering, acrobatics, house dance, and tradition into a distinct physical language. She is a three-time Rudolf Lábán Prize winner for her choreographies and her works have been selected for Festival d’Avignon and twice for Aerowaves Twenty (2019, 2020). Her choreographic interests lie in the body as a site of decoding tradition, raw physicalities and transformation.

Alongside co-director Péter Juhász, Jalonen shapes the artistic vision of SUB.LAB.PRO—merging creation and mentorship into a platform that nurtures both new dance works and the next generation of contemporary performers.

PRAISE FOR

SUB.LAB.PRO / Jenna Jalonen
"The Ring is such an energy base. A spiraling force field kept in unwavering momentum by seven great dancers. Their dose of energy is ours too. Our recharge is their strength. Double success."
Csaba Králl, Rudolf Lában Award laudation
"They look at the (movement) tradition from the outside, almost from an observer status, and from this position they create something new, something different."
Csaba Králl, Élet és Irodalom
"One of the most divisive questions in our current society is how we nurture tradition. Jalonen nurtures it by absorbing it, rewriting it, reflecting on it."
