What does a clown do when she loses her laughter? How can you continue with work, with life, when the loss you have suffered is great and unimaginably painful?

American Christina Gelsone is a passionate clown and was one half of the successful duo Acrobuffos for twenty years. With their enchanting show “AIR PLAY,” they thrilled audiences from Kabul to New York. Until her partner in life and on stage, Seth Bloom, died in 2024.

Greef is the way out of this darkness: a glimmer of hope, a poetic and very personal show. Without words, Christina Gelsone describes her loss, the weeks and months that followed, and shows how close grief and absurdity can be. Her show also demonstrates urgently that it is not only joy and laughter that connect us, but also loss. She gently takes the audience by the hand, allowing them to comfort and be comforted. Greef is a very special clown show, a rare gem. Personal, vulnerable, touching and yet, despite everything, surprisingly funny.
